- There has been one name received for the Economic Development Committee and two names received for the Tourism Committee
Michael Firlotte moved that Reginald Dempsey be appointed to the Economic Development Committee, seconded by James Carrier. Motion carried.
Emmie Flanagan moved that Cynthia Robinson be appointed to the Tourism Committee, seconded by Austin Tardif. Motion carried.
Councillor, Flanagan wish to have it noted in the minutes that her purpose for selecting Cynthia Robinson is because she has extensive tourism experience and is a Curator.
Mayor, Duivenvoorden reassumed the chair at 8:06 p.m.

Motions & Resolutions:
Ron Bourque moved that the Village have Roy Consultants proceed with preparing a tender for replacement of Roof on Legion and for replacement of roofing on Municipal Garage and invite bids from A-1 Construction, James Hilliard Construction & JG Carpentry, seconded by Austin Tardif. Motion tabled.
Emmie Flanagan asked that the motion be tabled until April 3, 2006 meeting pending receiving a written request from the Legion, seconded by James Carrier. Motion carried. (3 yeas – Councillor’s Carrier, Flanagan & Tardif) 2 nays (Councillor’s Bourque & Firlotte)
Ron Bourque moved that the Village have High Speed Internet (Home Package) installed at Fire Station # 1 for a cost of $134 connection charge and $45 per month, seconded by Michael Firlotte. Motion carried.
Emmie Flanagan moved that the Village not install high speed internet at the Fire Chief home, seconded by James Carrier. Motion carried.
Ron Bourque moved that the Village purchase from MicroAge a laptop computer, a program and storage bag, to run the clock at the Arena for the cost $820 plus taxes, seconded by James Carrier. Motion carried.
Austin Tardif moved that the Village adopt as presented the Policy as drafted to govern spending related to the operation of the Fire Department and Fire Department Work Order procedure, seconded by Michael Firlotte. Motion carried.
Austin Tardif moved that the Village provide $2,000 to defray the cost of the Annual Fire Fighters Dinner, seconded by James Carrier. Motion carried.
Austin Tardif moved that the Village purchase, for Fire Station lounge /meeting areas two air conditioners as per the recommendation of Carmichael Engineering for the quoted amount of $6,000 plus HST, seconded by Michael Firlotte. Motion carried.
Austin Tardif moved that the Village invite local area contractors to review the Fire Entrance at the east side of the municipal building and provide recommendations for an extension to the step and contact Sweets Upholstery and request solution for Awning at east side door and main entrance door, seconded by Ron Bourque. Motion carried.
Michael Firlotte moved that the Village of Belledune accept the specification for new refuse truck as presented and proceed with tender advertisement as per public procurement policy and regulations, seconded by James Carrier. Motion carried.
Austin Tardif moved that the Consulting Contract between the Village of Belledune and
Mario Lapointe for the term commencing March 1, 2006 and for the same terms and conditions as previous year, be accepted and endorsed, seconded by Michael Firlotte. Motion carried.
Austin Tardif moved that the Clerk/Treasurer and Assistant Clerk/Treasurer attend the AMANB Clerk’s Workshop in Fredericton on March 30, 2006, seconded by Emmie Flanagan. Motion carried.
Michael Firlotte moved that the Village purchase from MicroAge, upgrades for the office computers with Acrobat Standard & Acrobat Professional software and upgrade RAM for the Administration Laptop as per the quotation of $1,470 plus taxes, seconded by Austin Tardif. Motion carried.

Austin Tardif moved that the Donation Committee report be accepted as presented and the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society be given the use of the Belledune Recreation & Cultural Centre Ballroom on June 3, 2006 free of charge, seconded by Ron Bourque. Motion carried.
Ron Bourque moved that the Village place a ¼ page advertisement in the Restigouche Female Hockey Community Club- Bantam Provincials for the cost of $50, seconded by Austin Tardif. Motion carried.
Austin Tardif moved that the Village purchase two ads in The Tribune at a cost of $50 each for Administrative Professional Week, seconded by James Carrier. Motion carried.

- Requested Mayor to clarify the discussion regarding Enterprise Chaleur request for distribution of wealth with other communities.
- Would like to know if Council could vote on this issue tonight to see what their opinion is.

- Clarification that such proposal is only for those industries that this organization brings in.
Reggie Killoran
- Expressed concerns that it would be promoted that the dirty industry be in Belledune and the clean industry for down there.
